Introduction

Hello everyone, I am a simple movie buff and through the years were there have been films or individual sagas that I was impressed with. One of them was "The Little Buddha" of Maestro Bertolucci and a saga of books and films that gave me a lot is the one of Harry Potter (although I am a little grown up boy).

One day, watching "Little Buddha" I had an intuition: it seemed to me that the three kids in the film were comparable to Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Following my instincts, I reviewed Maestro Bertolucci's film over and over again and I grasped undeniable details (for me) that Mrs. Rowling had possibly and excellently been able to draw inspiration from the film of Maestro Bertolucci (2 times Oscar winner for "The Last Emperor").

My belief has strengthened over the time and I must say the idea that two stories so beautiful and so gripping could be intertwined by references that are so numerous, for me is a genuine source of joy: the beauty nourishes the beauty.

This blog wants to bring light on the two narrative stories, proving that when there is a good story the possibility to go deeper is always present for the creation of some new good material (culture is always nourished by culture, it does not appear from nowhere, and possibly good popular culture is nourished by good culture).

I found in my own estimation many similarities and in the following pages I will explain them all in detail (they are more than 60), knowing that probably they are not the only ones that can be found. Therefore I invite my readers to watch the stupendous film of Master Bertolucci and to read the engrossing saga of Mrs. Rowling (together with the movies based on them) and maybe some of you could find other links between these two, though different in style, masterpieces.
